Robert Hayman spent over 20 years as a ship-broker mainly in the City of London but also in Hong Kong and was a co-founder director of his own ship-broking company which traded successfully from 1979 until 1987 when he decided to leave the shipping business and move to the West Country. He is married and has two daughters.

Having always been interested in the property market he decided to utilise his negotiating and organisational skills by assisting buyers in the West Country. He commenced trading at the end of 1988.

Tim Barker returned 'home' to Dorset in 2001 after 16 years in Central London. He worked for three well known estate agencies selling prime property in the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea, Belgravia and Mayfair.

His roots are in Sherborne and the environs and he was educated locally. Tim is married with two daughters and lives in the Blackmore Vale, between Sherborne and Sturminster Newton.
